Brief descriptionIn cooperation with the district administration of Eimsbüttel, the Hamburg Authority for Environment and Energy wants to have an energetic inventory and development potential analysis carried out for the district "Lokstedt", which is to serve as the basis for a successive energetic renewal. Based on the energy analysis of the district, two scenarios were developed, which describe a careful transformation of the district towards a CO2-neutral and sustainable energy economy. The first scenario envisions an expansion of centralized district heating, while the second scenario envisions decentralized development with heat pumps and combined heat and power plants. Both scenarios show that a long-term CO2-neutral energy supply for the Lokstedt district is possible.
